Handprint Flamingo Card Craft

Reward: Shake Up Silver!

  • Colored cardstock (in pink and yellow)
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Pencil
  1. Draw the flamingo heads on yellow cardstock and draw the beaks on pink card stock. Cut out the number of flamingo necks and beaks you need.
  2. Fold a piece of pink cardstock in half and trace your right hand, with the thumb along the fold line. Cut out the handprint, leaving the folded edge in tact.
  3. Glue the yellow beak to the front of the flamingo’s head, just in front of the eye.
  4. Position your handprint with the thumb facing the top and the fingers on the right.
  5. Secure the flamingo’s neck to the handprint by gluing the neck to the back of the handprint, next to the thumb.
  6. Create the flamingo’s legs by cutting out two strips of paper from the pink card stock.
  7. Glue one leg as is on the back of the handprint card. Cut the other strip in half and glue back together at an angle (just shy of 90 degrees). Glue the bent leg in front of the straight leg.
  8. Open the card up and write a special message.
  9. That’s all you need to do to create your own summery flamingo card!
